Hatters Edge Troy, 4-3

Box Score Stetson men's tennis edged Troy, 4-3, Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Hatters won four of six singles matches as they improved to 6-2 on the season.

"A good win today for the Hatters, even though we were far from playing our best tennis overall," Stetson head coach Christophe Noblet said. "We found ways to win and that is a big positive. However, we have to avoid putting ourselves in tougher situations than it needs to be. That is a good lesson for us to learn, and hopefully apply starting tomorrow against a solid Florida A&M squad."

After losing two of three doubles matches, the Hatters rallied in singles against the Trojans (1-5). The top four players in Stetson's lineup each secured straight set victories.

Malik Bhatnagar picked up a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 1, and Loic Blanco earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 2.

Angus Bradshaw joined the fun with a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 3, and Antoine Sanchez capped the winning with a 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 4.

The Hatters next face Florida A&M, Noon, Sunday.
