Mandy Stoll to host four tennis matches this weekend

Both the men's and women's teams will be action on Friday and Sunday in ASUN action

DELAND, Fla. -- Mandy Stoll Tennis Center will be the site of four tennis matches this weekend, as the Stetson University men's and women's teams will be in action as each will host a pair of tough ASUN matches starting on Friday and finishing up on Sunday. 

The women's team kicks things off with a match against the 74th-ranked Florida Gulf Coast at 10 am on Friday, while the men conclude the day with its match against the Eagles at 3 p.m.

Kennesaw State tennis comes to DeLand on Sunday with the Stetson women beginning the day, again at 10 am with the men following at 2 p.m.

WOMEN'S CAPSULES
Stetson Hatters (13-1, 1-0)
- Stetson enters the match after knocking off the defending champions North Florida last weekend, 5-2, and a midweek win over St. Thomas, 4-0. - The Hatters are 10-11 all-time against the Eagles after dropping the last three matchups in the series while the team has controlled KSU with a 17-1 overall mark, 8-0 at home. - Nadejda Maslova collected ASUN Player of the Week accolades after clinching the match victory against UNF at the No. 1 position while Cheri Darley, Alanna DiFrancesco and Noa Cohen all earned singles wins.

No. 74 FGCU Eagles (9-5, 2-0) - FGCU stayed at the No. 74 position of Wednesday's latest ITA Ranking after the team opened league play with two victories over Bellarmine and Liberty. - The Eagles take to the road to play Stetson and then head to North Florida in a rematch of the last two conference championships with the Ospreys. - Isabella Colminares and Fanny Norin are both 2-0 in league Singles; Norin improved to 6-6 on the season and 4-1 at No. 4 while Colminares is 5-6 with a 5-2 mark at No. 2 position.

Kennesaw State Owls (11-2, 1-1) - KSU takes its 9-1 road record into its next three league matches at North Florida (Friday), Stetson (Sunday) and FGCU (April 3). - Ji Youn Lee and Sofia Pinedo lead the team with nine Singles victories; Soomin Kim has a team-best three-match win streak while Sophia Unger also earned points against the Flames and Knights last week. - The Owls swept the doubles matchups against the Knights with Kim & Taylor Dean (No. 1) and Pinedo & Unger (No. 3) claiming the point.

MEN'S PREVIEW
Stetson Hatters (7-6, 0-1 ASUN) - Stetson wraps up its four-match homestand this weekend when the Hatters welcome FGCU and Kennesaw State in a pair of conference matchups. - The Hatters hold a 9-8 advantage in the head-to-head series against the Eagles while they are 12-4 all-time against KSU. - Stetson looks for a bounce-back performance after falling to UNF in the conference opener which saw Diogo Marques (No. 1), Tim Gennes (No. 5) and Sami Ozzor (No. 6) earn Singles wins. 

FGCU Eagles (9-5, 2-0 ASUN) - FGCU looks to keep its winning streak alive coming off a thrilling 4-3 victory over then-No. 68 Liberty and a 7-0 victory over Bellarmine to begin the conference season. - The Eagles' Randy Wilson posted the match-winning score at the No. 4 position against the Flames to claim the ASUN Player of the Week accolade. - Magnus Johnson collected a win at the No. 1 Singles position against Liberty while Marcelo Sepulveda earned two victories at the No. 2 and No. 4 Singles positions.

Kennesaw State Owls (10-4, 2-0 ASUN) - After a thrilling 4-3 upset of then-No. 68 Liberty began the conference season, the Owls took down Bellarmine 6-1 to start 2-0 in the league as the team prepares for North Florida and Stetson this weekend. - Matthew Terry kept his unbeaten streak intact (9-0) with the match-clinching victory at the No. 1 position to earn the Player of the Week honor. - Raul Garcia and Hugo Salmeron both went 2-0 against the Flames and Knights while Kevin Patel, Harvey Conway, Seru Texuka and Jackson Lee earned wins against BU.
