Hatters Defeat Governors 6-1

Box Score Clarksville, Tenn. – Stetson (12-8, 2-4) picks up their second ASUN conference victory in a row over Austin Peay (4-12, 1-5) 6-1.
 
Stetson was able to secure the doubles point as Juan Jose Rodriguez Garceran and Ervin Haris Eminefendic won on court two 6-3. They were followed up by Lucas Olivier and Marc Saura on court one who would win 6-2 to give the Hatters a 1-0 lead heading into single play.

The Hatters would continue their winning ways in singles play as Juan Jose Rodriguez Garceran would pick up the first point on court four finishing 6-0, 6-3. Sven Thiergard would pick up another victory for the Hatters on court six winning 6-2, 6-1. On court two Lucas Olivier would get another singles win 6-2, 7-5 putting Stetson up 4-0 for the match.

Court three was the only spot where Stetson fell short as Ervin Haris Eminefendic would fall 5-7, 1-6. Next to finish was Marc Saura on court one who would get the win 6-3, 4-6, 10-3. Sami Ozzor would get the final point for the Hatters on court five winning a 3-set match 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 to give Stetson the 6-1 victory over Austin Peay.

"Good week from the boys as we had some adversity to overcome. Today was one of the windiest days I have coached in and our team didn't complain they played smart and with confidence," said Stetson head coach Christophe Noblet. "We are looking forward to the final week of the regular season at home and getting ready for the challenge against Liberty."
 
The Hatters will finish the ASUN regular season in DeLand as they will host Liberty on April 6th at 3:00 p.m. and Queens on April 8th at 2:00 p.m.
