Stetson Finishes Fourth in Inaugural NGI

Hatters Shoot 3 under par in final round to finish T4

Maricopa, AZ - Stetson shoots three under par during the final round to finish T4 in inaugural National Golf Invitational tournament.

The Hatters shot a three under par 285 on the final day to finish T4 for the tournament. The final score of five under par would find Stetson only two strokes behind the overall winner Texas State who finished seven under for the tournament.

Matt Gauntlett would finish T5 on the individual leaderboard with a even par 72 in the final round. Gauntlett would be the top Hatter on the leaderboard and only three strokes back from the individual champion, Kash Bellar, from Ball State who finished seven under for the tournament.

Javier Calles would have the best performance for Stetson on Sunday with a six under par 66, which would find him T13 on the individual leaderboard. Mason Quagliata would be next for the Hatters as he would shoot a one over par 73 to finish T21.

Truman Keppy and John Houchin would be the final two Hatters on the individual leaderboard. Keppy would shoot a 74 on the final day to finish T36 and Houchin would shoot a 76 to finish T43.

The NGI marks the end of the competitive season for Stetson, the 2022-23 season was a season of success for the Hatters.

-4 ASUN Player of the Week Honors
-Signed #1 ranked player in the country
