DELAND, Fla. - The Stetson men's tennis team named a 2023 All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2023 season on Monday. In addition to the team honor six Hatters were named as ITA Scholar Athletes.

In order to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale. All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

The six Hatters to receive an individual ITA Scholar-Athlete award are as follows:
Bendix Schroeder
Sami Ozzor
Sven Thiergard
Alexandre Hillhouse
Ervin Haris Eminefendic
Lucas Olivier


In order to be named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete a student-athlete has to have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.

Stetson finished the season with an overall record of 14-10 and 3-5 in the ASUN. The Hatters concluded their season in the ASUN Quarterfinals with a 3-4 loss to FGCU.
