BOCA RATON, Fla. - Stetson University men's tennis will hit the road to kick off the spring season as they take on the Florida Atlantic Owls in Boca Raton, FL. The match is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center.
The Hatters trail in the series 4-15 in their 19 previous match-ups with the Owls. The two programs last met on Feb. 10, 2023 when Stetson fell to Florida Atlantic 4-1 at home. The series between the two Sunshine State teams dates back to Feb. 11, 2001 when the Hatters dropped the inaugural match 7-0 on the road. While at home, the Hatters hold a 3-7 advantage over the Owls but the road has favored Florida Atlantic as Stetson trails 1-7 in Boca Raton. The Hatters will look to break a nine game skid to Florida Atlantic and pick up their first win over the Owls since 2013.
Following Saturday's match, the Hatters will return home to the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center to host Citadel for their home debut on Sunday, Jan. 21 at noon.
