DeLand, FL - Stetson University's men's tennis program proudly announces the signing of Kartik Mandla from Collierville, Tennessee, for the upcoming Fall season, bringing with him a proven track record of success.
A member of the Orange County Virtual School (OCVS) Class of 2024, Mandla brings a wealth of experience and accomplishments to the court. Notably, clinching a victory in the state team championships in 2022.
Mandla's winning pedigree extends further, as evidenced by his triumph at the Bobby Curtis Doubles Sectional Championships at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, where he won the Boys 18s Championship bracket last October.
His journey to Stetson is marked by consistent excellence, dating back to 2017 when he was selected as one of 24 youths nationwide to participate in the U.S. Tennis Association Foundation's playoff camp in Orlando. Mandla's standout performance earned him a spot in the association's national Clay Court Championships, followed by a trip to the national Hard Court Championships in Mobile, Ala.
Expressing his excitement about joining Stetson, Mandla cited the university's perfect balance between tennis and academics as a key factor in his decision-making process.
Head Coach Christophe Noblet warmly welcomes Mandla to the Hatters family, praising his exceptional talents and character. "We are very excited to have Kartik joining the program this Fall," says Coach Noblet. "He is a fantastic young man, with a bright future ahead of him. As a top 100 prospect in the US and 4 stars rating, he is a high caliber recruit, and the fact that he is from Orlando makes it even more special. Welcome to the Hatters Family Kartik.
