Hatters Return Home for Pair of ASUN Matches

DELAND, Fla. — Stetson women's soccer returns home for a pair of ASUN matches this week, beginning Thursday, Oct. 8, against Jacksonville at 7 p.m. before hosting North Florida at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Scouting the Hatters

Stetson enters the week with a 2-9 overall record and a 1-3 mark in ASUN play. Ava McKay leads the Hatters with three goals this season, including a two-goal performance in Stetson's 3-0 win over Eckerd. She added her third goal of the season in the Hatters' 2-1 victory over West Florida. Payton Quinones has contributed one goal and one assist, while Amelia Majtczak has also found the back of the net. Stella Comana leads Stetson with two assists, both coming on goals scored by McKay against Eckerd.

Clare Boesel earned ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week honors this season after recording a shutout in the win over Eckerd. She enters the week with a .672 save percentage and 45 saves across 879 minutes in goal for the Hatters.

Stetson has recorded 83 shots this season, including a season-high 15 against Queens. Eva McCoy leads the team with 13 shots, followed by Quinones with 12, while McKay leads the Hatters with nine shots on goal.

As a team, Stetson is averaging 7.5 shots per game and has put 42.2 percent of its attempts on goal. The Hatters' goalkeepers have combined for a .690 save percentage and a 2.00 goals-against average.

Scouting the Dolphins

Jacksonville enters Thursday's matchup with a 3-3-4 overall record and a 1-0-2 mark in ASUN play. The Dolphins drew Queens 1-1 last week, while their match against West Florida was moved to Oct. 15.

Jacksonville is led by Julia Delprat, who has scored four goals on 26 shots, including 10 shots on goal. Nine other Dolphins have scored at least once this season. Paula Herranz, Saki Sanno and Lina Ballmann are tied for the team lead with two assists each.

Taylor Gardner and Sofia Mosquera have split time in goal this season. Gardner carries a .636 save percentage and a 1.80 goals-against average across seven appearances, while Mosquera has posted a .750 save percentage and a 0.60 goals-against average in four appearances.

As a team, the Dolphins are averaging 1.3 goals per game on 15.3 shots.

Scouting the Ospreys

North Florida enters the week with a 6-2-4 overall record and a 3-0-1 mark in ASUN play. The Ospreys earned 1-0 victories over West Florida and Queens last week.

North Florida is led by Paige McSwigan, who has scored six goals on 10 shots this season. Morgan Guillemette has added four goals, while six other Ospreys have scored this season. Allison Souers and Taylor Tamares are tied for the team lead with three assists each, while seven additional players have recorded at least one assist.

Sofia Miliancano has started all 12 matches for North Florida, totaling 37 saves across 958 minutes. She enters the week with a 1.03 goals-against average and a .771 save percentage after facing 134 shots.

As a team, North Florida is averaging 1.5 goals per game on 11.6 shots and a .554 shots-on-goal percentage.

Series History

Thursday's matchup will mark the 37th all-time meeting between Stetson and Jacksonville, while Sunday's match will mark the 27th all-time meeting between the Hatters and North Florida.
