DOTHAN, Ala. — The Stetson women's golf team sits in fourth place after the opening round of the 2026 ASUN Women's Golf Championship at Dothan Country Club.
The Hatters posted a team score of 8-over-par and find themselves in a tightly contested leaderboard, trailing third-place Lipscomb by four strokes while holding a two-shot advantage over EKU. North Florida leads the field at 10-under-par after 18 holes.
Isaki Sakashita paced Stetson in the opening round, carding a 1-over 73 to sit in 12th place. Ailsa Brannock and Julieta Oviedo are close behind, each tied for 17th after posting rounds of 74.
Filippa Jansson finished the day in 25th place with a 3-over 75, while Elizabeth Eberle rounded out the lineup with an 80 and is expected to be substituted out of the lineup for Bridget Butler heading into the second round.
As a team, the Hatters combined for 10 birdies and 51 pars on the day. Brannock led Stetson with three birdies, while Sakashita paced the lineup with 13 pars. Oviedo and Brannock each added 12 pars, helping anchor a steady team performance.
Stetson will look to climb the leaderboard when play resumes for the second round on Friday, with tee times beginning at 10 a.m. (ET).
