“ETSU played a very good match today,” head coach Pierre Pilote said.  “Our guys went out there all banged up and still played with heart.  They gave it their all.”

Kricka took the No. 3 singles match with a 7-6, 7-6 win over Sebastian Serrano.  That victory improved Kricka's singles record to 5-0 in the conference and 13-4 overall. 

Marcus Echtler returned to singles competition for the first time since late February and suffered a three-set defeat to Predrag Burmazovic.   Joey Jones was beaten in a conference match for the first time this year. 

“We will obviously do much better when the team gets healthy,” Pilote said.  “Now we will regroup and get ready for our next two conference matches.”

The Hatters next host Lipscomb on Tuesday with a 5:00 p.m. match at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
