A native of Palm City, Fla. Jacobsen won nine tournament titles during her three seasons with the Hatters, including winning medalist honors at the 2011 ASUN Championship.  She helped Stetson win two conference championships (2010, 2011), qualifying the Hatters for their second and third NCAA Tournament appearances in school history.  She then qualified for the NCAA Tournament as an individual in 2012, where she placed 14th at the NCAA Central Regional in Columbus, Ohio.

Jacobsen's honors include three ASUN All-Tournament team nods and three ASUN All-Academic team selections.  Statistically, she owns the three lowest season averages in school history, including the current record of 72.38, and she holds the record for lowest career average at 73.05. She was named Stetson Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2011.

Jacobsen went on to have a professional career on the Symetra Tour from 2012-16.  She was named to the ASUN All-Decade team in 2020.
