Marcus Echtler lettered four years at Stetson (2004-08) and was a four-time first-team All-ASUN Conference performer. The 2006 ASUN Player of the Year, Echtler advanced that season as an individual to the NCAA Championships. He was the first player to represent both Stetson and the ASUN Conference at the NCAA individual championships. A native of Venice, Fla., Echtler spent his entire Stetson career as the Hatters' No. 1 singles player and was a part of the No. 1 doubles team all four years. As a junior, Echtler was ranked as high as No. 61 nationally by the ITA. He was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.
