Sharp-shooting scorer Garrett Davis was practically automatic from the free throw line during his four seasons (1995-99) with the Hatters. He wasn’t bad from beyond the 3-point arc, either. Davis finished his career with 1,302 points, twice leading the Hatters in scoring. An All-ASUN selection as a senior when he averaged 16.5 points per game, Davis excelled at not only getting fouled but converting from the line. He set a school record by shooting 86.6 percent from the free throw for his career, and also established a season record with an 88.8 percent effort from the stripe as a junior. Davis shot nearly 42 percent on his 3-point attempts, and his 143 made 3-pointers was second all-time upon the completion of his playing career. Davis was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2005.
