Stetson University Athletics

Machamer was a vital player on one of the best Volleyball teams in Stetson history. In 1985 Machamer lead the Hatters to an overall record of 33-8 and 10-0 in conference play. The Hatters were also conference champions that year. 

In that season Machamer lead all college players in the block percentage with 3.16 average. She also ranked in the top 10 in hitting percentage with 39 percent and kill average with 4.4. Stetson, as a team, finished No. 1 in the nation in block average with 5.01 in the last college volleyball poll and and finished the year at 4.97. That year she was First Team All-Conference and Conference player of the year.

Machamer was later brought on as an assistant coach at Stetson.
