Cher Dyson's name can be found all over the Stetson women's basketball record book. Stetson’s all-time leader with 403 steals, Dyson led the ASUN Conference in steals each of her four years with the Hatters and ended her career second in league history. Dyson is the only player in ASUN history to lead the league in steals four times and one of only two players in conference history to lead in any statistical category all four years. She finished her Stetson career as the program’s fifth-leading scorer with 1,377 points, and fifth with 375 career assists. She was one of only nine Hatters to record 500 career field goals upon the completion of her eligibility. Dyson was also an excellent shooter both from behind the arc and from the free throw line, ranking third in career three-point percentage (37.3 percent) and seventh in free throw percentage (75.8 percent).  She is the only player with 100 or more steals twice in a season, including a career-best 104 in 1999-2000. As a senior Dyson helped lead the Hatters 2000-01 to a 22-7 record in 2000-01 and landed on the All-ASUN First Team. In a 79-68 win at Jacksonville on December 16, 2000, Dyson terrorized the JU offense for 11 steals, the third-highest single-game total in Hatter history and just one shy of the school record. She was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
