A Freshman All-American and two-time all-conference selection, Robert Crews had a terrific career both in the field and at the plate.  In 228 career games, Crews batted .316 with 42 doubles, 23 home runs, and 137 RBI.  He scored 180 runs and collected 282 hits, totals that still rank seventh and eighth, respectively, in the Stetson record book.

In 2008, Crews put together an outstanding rookie season, batting .361 with seven home runs and 37 RBI.  He was named ASUN Freshman of the Year, second team all-conference and was a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American.

On Feb. 27, 2010, Crews went 4-for-4 at the plate and tied a Stetson single-game record by blasting three home runs in a showdown against the Georgia Bulldogs.

In 2011, Crews recorded a career-best 83-hit season en route to first-team all-conference honors.  He helped the Hatters win 43 games, earn an NCAA Tournament at-large selection and advance to the finals of the Columbia (SC) Regional.

A four-year starter on the infield, including three seasons at second base, Crews racked up 584 career assists, the third-highest total in school history. He fielded at a .975 clip as a senior, committing just seven errors all season.  Stetson's Defensive Player of the Year Award is now named after Crews and is presented annually at the team's Dick Westervelt First Pitch Banquet.

A native of Port Charlotte, Fla., Crews graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
