A phenomenal athlete on the court and in the sand, Kaley Melville's highly-decorated career included ASUN Pair of the Year, ASUN Pair of the Tournament and two ASUN First Team All-Conference honors.
Melville was part of the inaugural Stetson beach volleyball team in 2012, and quickly helped build the Hatters into a national contender. In 2014, Melville sparked the Hatters to their first ASUN Conference title and the team's first appearance in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship.
Melville's finest year came in 2015, where she and partner Julie Bassett posted a 24-4 mark in dual matches en route to ASUN Pair of the Year honors. The pair then went 4-0 in the ASUN Championship to earn MVP honors and lift the Hatters to their second straight ASUN title.
All told, Melville participated in three AVCA pairs championships and two AVCA team championships. She was named to the ASUN All-Decade team in 2020.
Melville also led the Stetson indoor volleyball team in kills for four consecutive seasons. The outside hitter finished her career second in school history in kills (1,282) and third in digs (1,203), becoming the first Hatter to eclipse both 1,200 kills and 1,200 digs in a career. As a senior, she earned all-conference honors and helped Stetson qualify for the ASUN Championship for the first time in 18 seasons. She was the department's recipient of the Female Distinguished Senior Award.
A native of New Germany, Minn., Melville graduated from Stetson in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies. She then earned a Master's Degree in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling from Stetson in 2017.
