A two-time ASUN Conference Champion, McGowan earned ASUN MVP honors in 2011 after helping lead Stetson to the conference title and the program's second-ever NCAA berth. Her half-court game-winning buzzer beater vs. Belmont in the semifinals launched Stetson women's basketball into a decade of success.Â
As a junior, McGowan earned ASUN Player of the Year and first team All-Conference honors after averaging 16.6 points and 6.7 rebounds-per-game. She was a four-time ASUN Player of the Week and led the NCAA with three triple-doubles on the season.
McGowan again earned first team ASUN All-Conference honors in 2013, as well as ASUN All-Tournament team honors and three ASUN Player of the Week selections. She helped lead Stetson to another ASUN Conference Championship and a No. 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
A native of Inkster, Mich., McGowan scored 1,532 career points in just three seasons, to date still the fourth-highest total in school history. She recorded four career triple-doubles and ranks as the only player in school history with over 1500 points, 400 assists and 200 steals. She was named to the ASUN All-Decade team in 2020.
